many years ago, to encourage indiana residents to invest in their own communities, indianapolis-based lilly endowment helped all 92 indiana counties establish or enhance community foundations. these nonprofit organizations, led by local volunteer boards of directors, raise tax-deductible contributions from within their communities and invest the dollars prudently. from the earnings on those investments, they award grants that address community needs. the south madison community foundation serves adams, fall creek, green and stony creek townships – including the towns of ingalls, lapel, markleville and pendleton. we’ve been raising, investing and granting dollars since 1992 and now manage investments of over 9 million. there are many ways to give back and pay it forward in this world. the south madison community foundation ensures that your contributions will serve our community’s greatest needs now and in the future.
