from the about us page at www.spchristian.org: south pasadena christian church is a small and vibrant church that has been around since 1906. well, none of us here now have been. we are excited to be together and look forward to gathering on sundays. this may be the first thing you notice. you may also notice that we are a diverse community. we are diverse in so many ways: age, ethnicity, income, church background, ability to tell jokes, and years as a christian. even though we are varied, when we gather together on sundays we do it as one family of faith. the sunday service is not a production meant to entertain anyone. it is not geared to any one age group or social class. it is not a "who's who?" or "who's got new shoes?" instead, it is a time for us, as christians, to remember and proclaim what god has done, is doing, and will do in the world through jesus. during our gathering together, we sing contemporary songs and hymns, we welcome the children, we pray together, and we read fr
