south puget sound habitat for humanity is a local affiliate of habitat for humanity international . we are a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that partners with low-income families to make the dream of home ownership a reality. since we started the affiliate back in 1989, we have constructed dozens of homes here in thurston county. spshfh is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing by working with donors, volunteers, community organizations and home buyers to create decent and affordable housing for families in need and to make shelter a matter of conscience with people everywhere. a christian based, ecumenical, non-profit organization habitat for humanity is welcoming to people of any or no faith. the homes we build for our community are simple, decent, affordable and environmentally friendly. building green for us is not due to the latest fad but rather a commitment from us to our community that we are and will be good stewards of the land and all gifts received. buildin
