South Shore Conservatory

south shore conservatory is the largest community school for the arts in massachusetts. founded in 1970 its mission is to "provide access to quality education in the arts." serving nearly 3,000 students ranging in age from 0 to 104 the conservatory provides instruction in all genres of music, dance, drama and creative arts therapies at its two beautiful campuses in hingham and duxbury and throughout the south shore in partnership with other arts organizations, schools, social service agencies and community centers. the conservatory is also the home to a best of boston arts integrated pre-school and full day kindergarten. on the performance front, the conservatory presents 29 professional concerts each year through its conservatory concert series during the academic year, evenings under the stars a summer series at the jane carr amphitheater in hingham and the duxbury music festival www.duxburymusicfestival.org featuring guest artists in residence for two weeks in july.
