south sudanese girls empowerment front is a non-profits organization that provides stem program/services to local south sudanese girls in the middle tennessee area. ssgef is dedicated to empowering young girls by mentorships and encourage them to develop an interested in the field of sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (stem). due to the decades of civil war coupled with traditional norms, most girls are deprived from opportunities to attend school. by providing these services, we are bridging the gap in south sudanese girls and women in education, but most importantly in stem fields.
