South Wales Scorpions Rugby League Club

south wales scorpions rugby league football club (welsh: sgorpionau de cymru) is a professional rugby league club formed in 2009, based in caerphilly, south wales we are the only professional rugby league club in south wales. the club is now owned by marc lovering and neil williams . we play in the kingston press league 1 rugby league competition. the scorpions also compete in the ipro sport league one cup and ladbrokes challenge cup,entering at round 3 with the other 14 professional clubs in league one that span the uk and france.with the inclusion of toulouse olympique from france, the club will have an even larger exposure to a european audience. the club has senior and junior teams which are part of a unique pathway from grass roots level to the professional game. the scorpions were formed after the crusaders moved north to wrexham. on 22 december 2009 the club adopted the name south wales scorpions rlfc folowing a competition to name the team won by james bowes. the initial batch
