we are south yorkshire’s community foundation and our goal is to improve the lives of local people. we support community groups who help people facing hardship and disadvantage and those working to improve the communities they live in. for almost 30 years we have been the charitable heart of this region, connecting people who care with causes that matter. we offer a variety of donation packages to enable private donors, businesses and philanthropists the opportunity to invest in a permanent endowment fund, which forms a lasting legacy of grants that benefit community & voluntary groups in south yorkshire. apart from the continued encouragement to build the endowment fund, we also support community & voluntary groups in applying for the funding pot that this creates. this is right through from initial application; checking the group is robustly run; getting in support if needed to improve governance; placing applications before assessment panel/donors; raising cheque and monitoring spen
