south charlotte dog rescue (scdr) is a 100% volunteer operated, 501c3 non-profit, dog rescue organization serving the south charlotte, nc area. our mission is to place homeless dogs in loving, committed homes following a comprehensive adoption process. we have no facility; our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they find their forever family. scdr was created because our founders observed a great need in the south charlotte community to rescue, foster, and provide medical care for unwanted dogs. scdr does not shy away from cases of neglect, abuse, hoarding, or aggression, and we are especially dedicated to rescuing dogs with critical medical needs who would otherwise be turned away or euthanized by animal shelters.
