snmcac fast facts: snmcac is a private non-profit corporation established 1965 service area: eddy, otero, chaves, lea, and lincoln counties 5 programs: 1. child and adult care food program – support for in-home childcare providers 2. csbg – emergency prescription, rent, utility, and fema assistance 3. foster grandparents and senior companions programs – paid volunteer programs for seniors who work with children and the elderly 4. head start – early childhood education and family support 5. senior citizens program - congregate and home-delivered meals, adult day and respite care, transportation, and housekeeping agency objective: enabling people to achieve self-sufficiency and providing them with the resources to achieve that goal. our leaders: executive director, sherra hester, and a 15 member, tripartite board of directors made up of individuals from our 5-county service area. impact – 2013: • provided 113,000 home-delivered and congregate meals to seniors • served nearly 1000 childre
