Southeast Regional Area Health Education Center

southeast regional ahec is a non-profit organization based in southeast michigan. southeast regional ahec strives to improve access to quality, comprehensive health care and education for the underserved, uninsured, economically needy and other vulnerable individuals throughout the nine counties we serve. originating from a federal initiative to improve communities’ access to health care services through changes in the education and training of health professionals, southeast regional ahec has created community-academic institution partnerships to increase and enhance local community health care. such partnerships have resulted in school health education and service programs, continuing education programs for practicing health professionals, and other community-based projects through which health profession students and faculty serve.
