Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation Inc

the southeastern brain tumor foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and a public charity headquartered in the atlanta, georgia area. we are governed by an all-volunteer board of directors, dedicated to raising funds and dedicated to the support of brain tumor research. each board member has been touched personally by a brain tumor diagnosis. they are brain tumor patients, healthcare professionals, survivors, caregivers, and brain tumor friends. through the success of our sole annual fundraising event, a 5k, the sbtf has funded 45 research grants totaling more than $1.5m. there are 130+ types of primary brain tumors and then there’s cancer that metastasizes to the brain. federal funding of research for brain tumors is sorely lacking; that’s why public support is critical.
