southedge is a young software company, based in the island of malta. our main activity is near-shoring software development for ict european companies. why do we base our activities in malta? in our opinion malta is a perfect context to base a ict company, thanks to lower cost, a favourable environment for ict and the high level skill of workforce what do we mean with "near-shoring"? near shoring means something very close to "off-shoring development", where the main difference is in the location near the customer. this implies better comunications and easier relations between customer and near-shoring development team, thanks to geographical and cultural reasons; this condition reflects positively on the overall project management, leading to better results and cost containment.
