Southern African Impact Investing Network (Saiin)

saiin is southern africa’s leading impact investing network, which seeks to promote the concept and practice of impact investing in the region, by contributing to the development of an investment ecosystem that brings new ideas and sources of capital to tackling developmental challenges. saiin’s objective is to advance the knowledge and practice of impact investing in the region, through advocacy and lobbying on behalf of the industry. saiin was founded by the the greatergood south africa trust in 2008. saiin is a pioneering initiative that has developed into a strong and trusted brand that attracts participants across multiple disciplines; from large banks to asset managers and dfi’s, members of national and provincial government, and social entrepreneurs. it has achieved a number of goals: giving shape to the impact investing industry, helping to push the intellectual debate forward, settling definitions, and opening up the concept of impact investing to a wider audience. saiin is
