southern california minority business development council (scmbdc) – formerly southern california regional purchasing councils – is the largest nonprofit minority business advocacy organization in the region, serving 1,300 minority business enterprises and 300 corporate members throughout 13 counties. our mission is to support and develop minority business enterprises to compete and succeed in the open market through three primary objectives: to open the corporate purchasing and contracting door for minority business owners to provide corporations with information on qualified minority suppliers, and to enhance employment in the minority community through increased corporate purchases
