the southern california review of law and social justice (rlsj) is a nationally published honors law journal that values the law as an instrument for positive social change, and which seeks to encourage the full spectrum and equal participation of all people in the law, politics, and society. accordingly, we solicit, edit, and publish faculty articles and student notes in one annual volume, which consists of three issues that critically examine the intersection of social justice and the law. our publications largely consist of legal narratives and analyses of case law and legislation that address the law’s interaction with historically underrepresented groups and highlight the law’s potential as an instrument of positive social change. these narratives and analyses borrow from the perspectives of a wide range of disciplines. originally established in 1992 as the southern california review of law and women’s rights, rlsj expanded its focus in 2006 to reflect its broadened scope and
