about scfd andi eaton’s southern coalition of fashion & design is a networking and resource organization open to those in the apparel design community in the south, as well as those connected to it. the mission is to create fashion shows that are primarily designer focused, as well as market and educational opportunities throughout the year. founder andi eaton spearheads scfd as the new orleans realm of fashion week expands across the southern states with a new name and a fresh brand. with high priority on both the individual as a designer and the process of creation, southern design week presents a contrast to the standard fashion weeks of recent years which emphasize retail as a key component. the end goal is to support southern makers and the design community in growing sustainable roots. from sketch to runway, southern design week (november 3rd - 9th) will feature a week of presentations, runway, and special events between locations handpicked to highlight the history and charm new
