southern lifestyle development was formed out of a desire to change the way real estate should be developed. we believe everyone deserves to live an elevated quality of life, designed with its residents in mind first. think ease of walkability, vast parks and other community recreational amenities. our founders, robert daigle, rodney savoy and robert gagnard, started it all in 1997 with the village of river ranch - a community that has since grown to become one of the most well-known and successful traditional neighborhood developments (tnds) in the country. building on that success, sld has continued to grow, with more traditional and conventional communities developing throughout louisiana and mississippi. no matter where you are in life, we have a place for you.
