southern quarters is a small consulting and consumer services company based in milwaukee, wi. it began in 1998 in metairie, louisiana (a suburb of new orleans) with one of it's divisions known as a sweet taste of reality chocolates, confections & cupcakes. with a sweet taste of reality, the southern quarters name and brand began to spread across households and offices alike. a sweet taste of reality provided a product of epic quality and demand. from that moment walter m. matthews (founder) started branching out into other services that were fueled from his life and work experiences and trainings. southern quarters began to do small business consulting and assisted with document organization, staff protocol development, onboarding processes, productivity efficiency and more. after mr. matthews, continued to progress he then introduced a service which he felt was a need for all. he began death care counseling. this project was sparked from his experience of being a family service counse
