my ideal individual (adult & adolescent) clients may struggle w/ a traumatic event that left them to with nightmares, flashbacks, exaggerated negative beliefs or expectations about themselves or others (eg "i'm bad"), exaggerated startle responses, feeling excessively anxious, depressed, or have difficulty concentrating. their goal being to feel more confident in the skin they are in and sleep soundly at night knowing they have all they need. couples may be struggling with parenting, infidelity, or communication. their goal-to feel supported and loved by one another. for clients w/ trauma, anxiety, & ocd- i offer emdr services, an evidence base practice proven to reduce overall disturbance levels in most clients. for couples- i offer gottman counseling, which is an evidence based treatment for couples that increases healthy communication. i'm an lgbtq affirmative therapist & believe black lives matter. i view therapy as an active and collaborative process. we set goals, use evidence ba
