southern university began its life as an institute in the year of 1998. later, in the year 2003, with the demand of situations mr.sarwar jahan & mrs. ishrat jahan established southern university bangladesh by the government approval under the private universities act. southern university offers higher educational programs in business , english, law, computer science & it, pharmacy, communication engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering and religion under three separate faculties namely(i) faculty of business administration ,(ii) faculty of arts, social science & law and (iii)faculty of science & engineering. all academic disciplines, programs have been carefully designed in keeping with the needs of job market at home & abroad. these programs develop the student’s knowledge of the theory and practice and an understanding of the codes of professional responsibility. interactive teaching methods, case study, internship and research project to develop the graduates properly
