who we are: southern cross has been a leader in the field of utility field services since being founded by a wwii veteran in 1946, and we remain one of the largest utility field services companies in the us. staying ahead of the curve has been a perennial challenge for the industry, and we do everything possible to prepare our partners for new technology and compliance requirements. we provide the utility industry with many routine field services, including leak detection, ami/amr installation and maintenance, standard meter services, routine field services, pipeline integrity and related products. we still manufacture our flame pack 400 flame ionization unit at our headquarters just outside of atlanta, georgia, along with all other products manufactured by southern cross. our gas leak detection training seminar is well known for high quality instruction and information, as well as other training modules we can deploy for our partners in the industry when needed. to learn more about wh
