the southside center for violence prevention is a non-profit organization, providing comprehensive services for individuals and families experiencing domestic and sexual abuse. madeline's house provides shelter to provide for the immediate need of help and safety for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. it is our intent to inspire victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault to become survivors by assisting them in regaining control in their lives. this is accomplished by providing a wide ranges of services that help restore self-esteem and empower them to foster the independence necessary for reentering the community to live a safe and productive new life. our goal is also to increase public awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault to change long term attitudes and to help break the cycle of violence.
