southwest badger resource conservation and development (rc&d) council, inc. is a regional nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1992. we work to improve the local economy through wise use and development of local resources to enhance the environment and the standard of living in crawford, grant, green, iowa, la crosse, lafayette, richland, sauk and vernon counties. southwest badger is designed to make our communities more viable, productive and better places to live. southwest badger works to: • organize local citizens and partners to identify and address local concerns • work seamlessly across political and jurisdictional boundaries • leverage limited federal and state dollars with private funds and resources to accomplish local goals • provide an extensive network of technical, organizational and financial support • respond to the needs of local communities for conservation issues southwest badger directs efforts at solving problems or capitalizing on opportunities agreed upon by
