Spacemakers Bristol

spacemakers was a project that initially was created to help educate young people from a deprived area of bristol. it was managed by mark rooney who managed to find funding for over £200k - which involved a budget for educational purposes - and approx £150k as a budget to redevelop a run down site in the hartcliffe & withywood area of bristol. since moving back to the area, shane richardson (one of the orignal young people involved in the project) was frustrated with how the site had been left - and after taking his children to the site - knew the right thing to do was to make contact with local council, local politicians and mark rooney himself, to try and get spacemakers back to its former glory.
