Spaceup France

a spaceup is an "unconference" focused on space, both the aerospace industry and the associated science. the first french edition of a spaceup, spaceup paris, was held at the cnes launchers directorate on may 24, and esa headquarters on may 25-26, 2013. the second one was held at cité de l’espace in toulouse in sept. 2014. at spaceup, engineers, astronauts, entrepreneurs, scientists, developers, students, graphists, journalists & dreamers discussed together of the future of space exploration. 21 nationalities were represented, and one-third of the participants were women! participants decided the topics, schedule, and structure of the event. indeed, everyone who attends spaceup is encouraged to give a talk, moderate a panel, or start a discussion. sessions are proposed and scheduled on the day they’re given, which means the usual “hallway conversations” may turn into full-fledged topics.
