who we are spanglish is a non-profit esl-tutoring program founded in june 2020 by carol alata, yocelyn pina, daniella leon, and valeria leon as a response to the overwhelming inability of school-aged children in peru to continue their education online during the covid-19 pandemic. our team consists of more than 120 amazing volunteers that make everything possible! mission spanglish provides virtual personalized english classes to low-income students ages 7 to 18 years from peru through the help of college and high school volunteers.
