Spanish 911

spanish 911 is louisiana's first spanish training firm for emergency & medical personnel. we are a small, local firm made up of current and former spanish & linguistics teachers. spanish911 is specifically designed to improve communications between a growing hispanic community and local law enforcement, medical and emergency personnel. in the introductory course, participants learn basic words and phrases relative to incidents or situations that are most common or that occur the most often in their specific occupation. advance courses are also offered. with an ultimate goal of decreasing cross-cultural miscommunications and quickly resolving potentially dangerous situations, the course content also provides insight into cultural differences and behaviors. upon completion of each level, students receive a certificate attesting to their professional development hours and a useful flip-chart for quick reference while on duty. in addition, resources and quizzes are available on the spanish
