sparos is a technology-driven sme dedicated to the development of new products and tailored nutritional solutions for aquaculture. we offer the alliance of a strong scientific background in the area of fish nutrition with a flexible pilot-scale feed technology platform to the aquaculture sector. business areas: - own feed range for fish larvae, broodstock and ornamental fish. - contract manufacturing of customised feeds for both academia and industry. - contract research trials to evaluate the efficacy of novel ingredients, feeds and additives in fish. in june 2014, the sparos team comprises 9 full time collaborators (4 phds and 5 msc) with a strong scientific background and over 100 publications in peer review journals on the areas of fish nutrition and aquaculture. sparos is located in the south of portugal (algarve region) but aims to serve the whole european market.
