speak connects migrants, refugees and locals living in the same city through a language exchange program where anyone apply to learn a new language and culture while also making new friends, in this way speak promotes equality and breaks prejudice. speak is a social tech startup that connects newcomers and locals living in the same city, through language and culture exchange experiences, that are: 1) language groups and 2) community organized events. 1) the language groups are led by buddies - anyone who signs up to help others learn their language and know more about their culture. the groups run on an informal environment, are focused on everyday conversations, and are interactive with games and group activities. 2) the cultural events are organized by the community to bring everyone together and celebrate diversity. they create room for dialogue, cooperation, and friendship between participants.
