Special Interest Group on Haptics

the special interest group on haptics is informally constituted under the umbrella of the eurovr association. the principal mission of the sig on haptics is defined as follows: 1. bring together researchers, suppliers and end-users for a better coordination of the haptics community, not only at research level but also in the economic world 2. strengthen the position of european research and industry in haptics, by providing the european commission with instruments for implementing an efficient r&d roadmap 3. develop synergies with other special interest groups inside eurovr, for better integration of haptic technologies and applications within virtual environments the mission of the sig of haptics is clearly complementary to that of the eurohaptics society, and a close co-operation with the society is to be actively encouraged.
