our mission is... to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of olympic-type sports for children and adults with mental disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other special olympics athletes, and the community. special olympics missouri is proud of our financial health, returning 87% of every dollar back to program services. we are privileged to be recognized with these honors: bbb a+ charity accreditation, charity navigator 4-star rating and class of 2013 missouri sports hall of fame.
