Special Schools Voice

we believe that the special school community should be at the forefront of re-designing and establishing an assembly (group) that brings together key organisations to offer a point of reference for policy makers and government organisations. it is our intention to co-construct a “collaborative assembly” that has a single clear intention of offering a voice to special schools at this time of rapid change. our aims are: • to co-construct and then maintain a collaborative assembly with special schools and academies across the country • to listen to and understand the issues faced by special schools and academies, so that it can be a proactive partner in policy making and implementing practice. • to influence educational thinking at a national level by ensuring that government agencies are aware of the implications of education policy making on special schools and their pupils. • to support government agencies during their consultations; ensuring that they engage with and understand the ed
