founded in the uk in 1984 by husband-and-wife optometrist team, doug and mary perkins, specsavers is one of the world’s largest optometry and audiology businesses – with more than 3,250 franchise partners owning and operating some 2,300 stores in 11 countries. in canada, 2021 has seen us take our first steps into the british columbia optometry market in conjunction with image optometry and we hope eye care professionals across canada with an interest in owning or co-owing a specsavers business will follow us here on linkedin to follow our progress. in addition, we will share our story as it unfolds on our partnership opportunities site at specsavers-spectrum.ca. if there is one word that sums up specsavers better than any other, it is partnership. we have been committed to working in partnership with our store partners and their teams that have delivered success to thousands of specsavers businesses, more than 35,000 current jobs, and 4.1 million customers across all of our markets.
