spectradyne is commercializing a revolutionary method of measuring submicron particles. our nanoparticle analyzer (npa) technology, invented at the ucsb, is capable of measuring particles down to less than 50 nm in diameter at rates of up to 10,000 particles/second. particles can be composed of any material and, since the method is electrical rather than optical, measurements are unaffected by the transparency of the particle. furthermore, since each particle is counted, arbitrary levels of polydispersity are handled easily. the primary initial applications are in the control of synthetic nanoparticles used for targeted drug delivery as well as the measurement of protein aggregation in drug formulations. however, there are exciting applications in virology, cosmetics, semiconductors, paint, and many other industries. our first instrument, the ncs1, has proven its measurement capability on a wide range of real industry formulations. ultimately, spectradyne's goal is to deploy its npa te
