welcome to speechworks! we are thrilled to be able to share in your child’s journey no matter the size. we are here to help your whole family reach the goals needed to have great functional outcomes in life. speech & language parents are often the best judges of their child’s health and first to identify if there is a problem. at speechworks we encourage you to call if you feel your child is not developing as you expected. we recommend that you have your child’s hearing tested before attending an assessment or therapy session, to ensure hearing is adequate for speech and language development. a referral should be made to a speechworks speech pathologist if you have concerns in any of the following areas: language (both receptive/understanding and expressive) speech (articulation and/or difficulty being understood) fluency/stuttering social skills and social use of language (pragmatics) attention and listening (including auditory processing) feeding and swallowing literacy (reading
