Speedhound

speedhound sniffs out the fastest wi-fi in your area. our purpose is to connect people to great local businesses with high-quality internet. as we travel extensively as tech entrepreneurs (digital nomads), staying connected remains our top priority. although review sites such tripadivstor, yelp, and airbnb show where wi-fi is available, the speed and quality is unknown before arriving. while working from an unstable internet connection in a cafe in northern thailand, the idea for speedhound was born. we collect data from all around the world to enable sorting and filtering of businesses by wi-fi speed. over the coming months we are releasing an api, browser extension, native integrations with other sites and a mobile sdk.
