Spidersmart Learning Center

with our first eight students and 800 square feet of space, we started the reading & writing center in annandale, virginia, 1989. we set up a library of children's books, and started creating comprehensive writing assignments for each title. our core belief was that reading and writing is the foundation for all learning. our students read books, wrote essays, and received detailed feedback every week. over the years, we've developed writing assignments for more than 2,000 books. as the company grew, we added other programs: math, test preparation, and our online component. to reflect our now diverse course offerings and locations, we have changed our name to spidersmart learning centers. now, thousands of students participate in our programs at local centers or online. at spidersmart, students discover inspiration that sparks their education. our teachers motivate students to become independent thinkers, problem solvers, and, above all, lifelong learners.
