artist ~ freelancer ~ entrepreneur culture is important. art is important. but as a culture that values commerce above content, the arts that speak of the strengths and beauty of the human spirit are getting left behind. there is a media issue in our current world which results in the lowest common denominator (or the most shocking content) getting the most attention. as if there is a purposeful set up - so most of us can shake our heads and be amazed and disheartened by our fellow human beings. one would think that since the strategy of artist for the last few hundred years in western culture has been an entrepreneurial model, that artist would be viewed as the experts on how to piece together a vocation without an institutional incubator. but likely because of the negligible fiscal value of artwork, this has not happened. we engage in commerce but we also value compelling iconography and images that speak to something more. our mission is to meld the obsession of the artisan with the
