at spiral, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and that no one's background should ever predetermine their future. spiral is an innovative career programme working with london's young people to build confidence, raise aspirations and develop work relevant skills. a social enterprise based in lambeth, spiral was born in response to stubbornly high youth unemployment rates. through our background in youth work and teaching, we witnessed the barriers young people were facing to the world of work, leading to loss of self esteem, feelings of helplessness and depression. what does spiral do? - spiral builds work relevant skills because employers are complaining of a skills gap, struggling to find good candidates whilst young people are not being equipped with work relevant skills. -spiral connects employers to schools because under 1/3 of employers communicate with schools, leaving young people unaware of opportunities and pathways. -spi
