the spirithorse rehabilitation center (shrc) host an elementary, middle and high school equestrian team, as well as providing equine assisted healthcare services and lessons to children with disabilities and children who are abused, neglected, and displaced. our goal is to assist individuals reaching their full potential through interaction with the horse by providing low cost lessons and free therapy sessions. equine assisted health care uses horses to aid in the healing and restoration of individuals emotionally, physically, and mentally. the bond that is established between horse and rider builds self confidence, trust and respect while the act of riding increases balance, muscle strength and flexibility.
