Splitvr

splitvr is a camera based large area vr tracking system that can cover an area of any size. our system allows the coverage of unlimited area (only the existing space is the limitation). the „trick” is in our tracking code as we are using commercially available cameras and not specially designed and very costly hardware (like optitrack). the system operates under 10 milisec latency creating the same quality vr experience of major devices like the vive or oculus rift. why splitvr? while current vr systems are nice experiences, what they lack the most is freedom. freedom to move around. so far limited coverage has not become an issue as users are only started to discover this new experience. but as nowadays setups become commonplace, players will soon find themselves confined in the tiny boxes what these systems offer. they already did and developers tried their best to work around this limitation by clever game mechanics. they did not succeed… with our technology there will be vr centers
