Spoons Charity

spoons is a registered charity (no. 1167043) set up to support families who are neonatal intensive care. spoons was founded in 2015 by a group of parents who had experienced neonatal care in units across greater manchester. the charity was set up to create a support network providing practical yet vital support to parents of babies who are experiencing neonatal care. the emotional strain parents face can have a negative impact on the whole family, mentally and financially. our aim is to help families when they need it the most. some examples of our work to date includes; marking babies milestones by creating our own milestone cards given to parents on the unit, raising vital funds to improve services available to families whilst on the unit, working with unit staff to improve patient experience on the unit, raising awareness of neonatal care. it is our aim to continue to provide wider emotional support to families on the units and in the community, and help families in long term neonat
