Sport Futurism

sport futurism is based on adrian baillargeon's belief that sport can play a much larger role in being a global leader in global issues. sport futurism is inspired particularly by two sports heroes who faced many challenges in and out of their sport. jackie robinson who, in 1947, broke major league baseball's race barrier. he was instrumental to challenging the traditional basis of segregation in america and his character, strength and courage are unquestionable. canadian heavyweight boxer george chuvalo was never knocked down in ninety-three professional fights between 1956 and 1979. muhammad ali commented after their 15 round 1966 heavyweigt battle that "he's the toughest guy i ever fought". tough in the ring, exuding extreme mental and emotionally strength outside of the ring. from 1985 to 1996, chuvalo lost three sons and his wife to drug overdoses and suicides. he has somehow though managed to find a purpose in life and has courageously battled on. george and his wife now tour hig
