where the sportaneous story begins... sportaneous brand started originally in 2015 as an idea for a new appealing brand to the obstacle course running (ocr) community at the flevonice outdoor ice rink in biddinghuizen, the netherlands. sounds weird? nah, not if you knew that flevonice featured in nl the first permanent obstacle parcours for their summer season. back then brand strategist sven willemsen drew a strategy based on the ocr sports culture buy-in philosophy including the idea of a new brand. in other words a focus on 360° niche sports culture and engagement. we have managed to create a new ecosystem with media, authentic practitioners, various supply chain parties, events and brands in the ocr scene around the brand flevonice. we decided to use the brand sportaneous only for the branded magazine due to the costs of brand management over time. the hard copy and digital magazine used to be a central feature within the media strategy. sven willemsen took the sportaneous brand
