sportchamps is an online game/sports betting organisation. it is based on the premise that sports betting is a social activity but apps have wound that back and that the way the industry works hasn't changed very much over the course of the last 100 years. the channels have changed, but the format is the same. you get odds, place a bet and you get a return. sportchamps is, at heart, a betting platform, but it's designed with social at the core. instead of punting alone, users compete in tournaments based on various sporting codes. much like a poker tournament, they buy-in with real money and place bets with virtual money. people add friends into private tournaments, connect with friends like with any other social network and enjoy banter around the various tournaments they are competing in. sportchamps aims to bring the fun and social interaction back into the world of sports wagering and let people win big prizes along the way.
