registered by both the british and tanzanian governments, sportika is a charitable non-profit organisation that aims to improve infrastructure, sports facilities and talent in east africa. the sportika mission statement is to develop young footballers, athletes and basketball players; as well as liaising with foreign sports coaches. east africa is a hotbed of sporting excellence, all except tanzania. tanzania have never won a gold medal at the olympic games, which is staggering considering how wildly successful neighbours kenya, zambia, uganda and ethiopia have been on sports biggest stage. we see tanzania as an untouched goldmine of young people who could achieve something great, if the structure is there to achieve it. through fundraising efforts and having an exemplary team on the ground in tanzania, we believe that our goal will one day become a reality.
