sports capital lending is a private specialty lending company that looks to extend credit (loans) to professional athletes based on future cash flows associated with the guaranteed portions of an athlete’s contract. we also provide aid to draft-eligible prospects that are seeking capital during their transition from the collegiate level to the professionals. loans range from a minimum of $100k to a maximum of $1.5m with rates ranging from 8%- 16%. each loan is underwritten differently and created specifically around each athlete and their current contract or their estimated future earnings based on performance. sports capital lending is unique from other companies in our field due to our self-funding capabilities. once our in-house committee approves a loan request, we are able to transfer funds to the borrower without having to acquire money from a 3rd party. this allows us to fund loans faster and more efficiently.
