sports engineering, inc. (sei) is a delaware corporation, formed to commercialize a new type of athletic shoe technology. sei believes this invention will help to make many sports safer for participants of all ages. sei has exclusively licensed the patented technology and worldwide rights to the impact absorbing footwear from worcester polytechnic institute (wpi). mission: to develop, finance, and market a new kind of footwear technology that will reduce the risk of knee, foot and ankle injuries and improve comfort in athletics, without diminishing performance. the goal is to eventually appeal to a broader consumer market. sei’s development team is from wpi, led by professor christopher brown, phd, fasme, former all-american ski racer, ski coach, and member of uvm's athletic hall of fame. dr. brown has researched orthopedics and ski injuries since 1980, leading students and presenting throughout the us and europe. the sei management team is led by wall street veterans and tech transfer
