hello and welcome to the sportspsychmds linkedin page! we are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to mental health education and community development. we use sports as a theme to educate people about mental health and are experts in applying the principles of mental health care to improving sports and performance related health conditions. sportspsychmds started in the summer of 2019 when two young doctors decided to bring their casual conversations regarding the interplay between sports and psychiatry to a larger audience. dr. armin hoes and dr. torey troggio recorded sportspsychmds’ first episode on july 22nd, 2019, and brought on a young program manager, benjamin vogel, to host the conversations in may of 2020. they have one goal in mind: normalize mental health by ending the stigma and continuing the conversation. their 50+ episodes have featured professional athletes, team psychologists, doctors, and journalists who have shared their unique perspective to this discus
