more and more people are having difficulty affording the necessities to thrive in their lives. this is leading to a greater dependence on shelters, food banks, and government supports…especially in the age of covid. on the other hand, fast fashion, excessive consumerism, and inefficient supply channels send an abundance of goods into the landfill. for example, 1.3 billion tons of food, 92 million tons of textiles, and 9 million tons of furniture are thrown out every year. in a world of excess, we believe that a community led supply ecosystem can help address some of society's most urgent issues of poverty. we actively look at the product needs of the community and align them with businesses and donors that can help fill the need, enabling surplus goods to ‘flow’ into the community, instead of the landfill. sprout network a social enterprise with a mission to create a community supply ecosystem that operates for the benefit of societies vulnerable populations.
